Recap: Seneca Bobcats vs. Walhalla Razorbacks

The Seneca Bobcats's game last Friday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They managed a 76-72 win over Walhalla. Given Seneca's advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 58th, while Walhalla is ranked 224th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Seneca's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cam O'kelley, who scored 24 points along with seven rebounds. Stu Finley was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.

Despite the loss, Walhalla still got an impressive performance from Crews Richardson, who scored 28 points along with five rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Richardson has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ander Hunnicutt, who scored 13 points along with seven assists and five rebounds.

Seneca pushed their record up to 15-4 with that victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.3 points per game. As for Walhalla, their loss dropped their record down to 6-10.

Seneca will head out on the road to square off against West-Oak at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. West-Oak has now lost nine straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 7. As for Walhalla, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Pendleton at 7:30 p.m. Hopefully Pendleton focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 on Tuesday.
