Softball Recap: Walnut Ridge Wins Going Away Against Cross County

While Walnut Ridge put up plenty of runs on Monday, the same can't be said for Cross County. The Bobcats were the clear victors by a 12-0 margin over the Thunderbirds. Considering the Bobcats have won four matchups by more than eight runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

The win made it two in a row for Walnut Ridge and bumps their season record up to 7-3. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. As for Cross County, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 4-7.

Walnut Ridge didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 6-1 win against Manila on the 1st. Cross County has also already played their next game (against Buffalo Island Central), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
