Volleyball Recap: Plainview-Elgin-Millville Takes a Loss

Plainview-Elgin-Millville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Lake City Tigers. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Bulldogs have suffered against the Tigers since August 26, 2019.

While Plainview-Elgin-Millville was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-12, 25-23.

Hannah Walbruch paced Plainview-Elgin-Millville's offense, picking up seven kills. Walbruch got some help from Mayah Ennis and her 17 assists.

Plainview-Elgin-Millville's loss dropped their record down to 7-15. As for Lake City, the victory snapped their losing streak at three matches and leaves them with a 4-13 record.

Plainview-Elgin-Millville didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 defeat against Westby on the 11th. As for Lake City, they will head out to challenge Lewiston-Altura at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
