Bishop McGuinness is a perfect 3-0 against Piedmont Classical since January of 2024 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Bishop McGuinness blew College Prep & Leadership Academy out of the water with a 64-13 final score. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 39-5.

Adelaide Jernigan was her usual excellent self, going 7 for 10 from beyond the arc en route to 31 points and five boards. That makes it four consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Bishop McGuinness' points. The team also got some help courtesy of Claire Sullivan, who posted nine points in addition to five assists and three steals.

Bishop McGuinness smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in seven consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, Piedmont Classical was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were dealt a 51-23 loss at the hands of Carver.

Bishop McGuinness pushed their record up to 20-1 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 24.0 points over those games. As for Piedmont Classical, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-9.

Everything came up roses for Bishop McGuinness against Piedmont Classical in their previous matchup last Monday, as the squad secured an 89-33 win. In that matchup, Bishop McGuinness amassed a halftime lead of 58-16, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Tuesday.
