Basketball Recap: Chelsea Continues Home Dominance on Wednesday

Chelsea put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They claimed a resounding 67-40 win over the Flat Rock Rams. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked third, while the Rams are ranked 91st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

When it comes to explaining why Flat Rock lost, don't look at Madleen Hussein. Despite the final result, she went 6 for 11 on her way to 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Averey Mysliwiec, who posted four points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals.

Chelsea's victory was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-0. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 29.7 points. As for Flat Rock, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.

Chelsea will head out to challenge Dexter at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Flat Rock and Ida will round out the year against one another at at 10:00 a.m. on December 27th.
