Basketball Recap: Roeper Roughriders vs. Lutheran Northwest Crusaders
Roeper was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. The contest between them and the Lutheran Northwest Crusaders didn't end well, with the Roeper Roughriders falling 68-54. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Crusaders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 51-38 two weeks ago.
Lutheran Northwest got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Andrew Kasat out in front who went 8 of 13 on his way to 19 points. The dominant performance also gave Kasat a new career-high in three-point shooting accuracy (60%). Isaac Henry was another key player, going 5 for 10 en route to 11 points in addition to six assists and five boards.
Roeper's loss dropped their record down to 5-14. As for Lutheran Northwest, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-8.
Coming up, Roeper will take on Oakland Christian at 8:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Lutheran Northwest, they will face off against Cranbrook Kingswood at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
