Volleyball Game Preview: Vail Christian Saints vs. Soroco Rams + How To Watch

The Vail Christian Saints will square off against the Soroco Rams at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

On Tuesday, Vail Christian got the win against De Beque by a conclusive 3-0.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Vail Christian was: they took every set by at least 12 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-9, 25-8.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Soroco, who bounced back after a loss on the road back in September. They put the hurt on North Park with a sharp 3-0 victory two weeks ago. The win continues a trend for the Rams in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now won four in a row.

The match came down to the wire multiple times:two sets needed extra rallies to declare a winner. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-22, 26-24.

Soroco found their leader in sophomore Ellie Carolus, who had 14 digs. Those 14 digs set a new season-high mark for Carolus. Lily Truitt also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

Soroco's victory bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Vail Christian, their win bumped their record up to 14-3.

Vail Christian took their victory against Soroco when the teams last played back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. Do the Saints have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Rams turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
