Salem has gone a perfect 10-0 against Green Run recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. Salem will challenge Green Run at 4:00 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses apiece.

Salem lost 18-2 to First Colonial on Thursday.

Salem saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cole Cooper, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-2. Grayson Moore also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Meanwhile, Green Run scored the most runs they've had this season on Thursday, but it wasn't enough. They fell 10-5 to Kempsville. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Salem's record is now 0-4. As for Green Run, their record now sits at an identical 0-4.

Green Run's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Tuesday. Salem has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.8 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Green Run, though, as they've been averaging only 4 strikeouts. Will Salem keep running through batters, or will Green Run buck the trend?

Salem was able to grind out a solid victory over Green Run in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, winning 8-4. Will Salem repeat their success, or does Green Run has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
