Strafford came tearing into Wednesday's game with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19.6 points), and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 55-45 victory over the Joplin Eagles. Given the Indians' advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 45th, while the Eagles are ranked 162nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Strafford pushed their record up to 19-3 with the win, which was their third straight at home. As for Joplin, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-14.
