Basketball Recap: Ripley's Luck Changes for the Better on Tuesday

Ripley had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They strolled past the Milan Bulldogs with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 54-40. That's more bragging rights for the Tigers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Ripley's win bumped their record up to 7-11. As for Milan, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-6 record this season.

Ripley and Milan could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Tennessee Rankings. Ripley (ranked 287th) will meet Westview (ranked third) at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Milan will face off against Crockett County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday down 136 places (201 vs. 65).
