Basketball Recap: Jalei Bolton Key Part of a Team Effort in Trojans Win

After losing to Newton County the last time they met, Northeast Lauderdale decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Northeast Lauderdale Trojans snuck past the Newton County Cougars with a 33-27 victory on Tuesday.

Northeast Lauderdale's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jalei Bolton, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 16 rebounds. Bolton is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 18 games she's played. Jakayla Grace was another key player, putting up four points along with five assists and five steals.

Northeast Lauderdale's win bumped their record up to 16-7. As for Newton County, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 12-7.

Northeast Lauderdale has already played their next matchup (against West Lauderdale), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Newton County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
