Basketball Recap: Waverly Comes Up Short

Waverly was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They fell 53-46 to the Wheelersburg Pirates. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pirates this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 55-48 back in January.

Waverly's defeat dropped their record down to 7-15. As for Wheelersburg, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-11.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Waverly will welcome Washington at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Wheelersburg, they will host Oak Hill at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
