Baseball Recap: White Swan Cougars vs. Tri-Cities Prep Jaguars
White Swan had lost four straight on the road, but on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 5-10 to make it five. They lost 11-0 to the Tri-Cities Prep Jaguars. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Jaguars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 29-0 on Tuesday.
As for Tri-Cities Prep, the win keeps they at an undefeated 12-0. The result was nothing new for the Jaguars, who have now won ten games by six runs or more so far this season.
For Tri-Cities Prep's part, they got a massive performance out of Tilden Shumway, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Shumway has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Owen Janke, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple.
Coming up, White Swan will venture away from home to face off against Riverside Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Cougars are facing the Crusaders at the right time seeing as the Crusaders are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Tri-Cities Prep, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Liberty Christian at 4:00 p.m.
