Basketball Recap: Natoma Comes Up Short

Natoma was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They were beaten by the Lakeside Knights 68-27. If the Tigers were looking for revenge after losing 78-29 to them when the teams met back in February of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Natoma's loss came despite strong showings from Colton Prowse and Kelden Rubottom. Prowse posted six points and seven boards, while Rubottom had seven points.

Reece Remus continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Lakeside, dropping a double-double with 23 points and 14 rebounds. Remus continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jace Cunningham, who earned 18 points.

Natoma's loss dropped their record down to 2-18. As for Lakeside, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-6.

Looking ahead, Natoma will square off against Victoria at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Victoria will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Natoma surely won't give up without a fight. Lakeside does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
