Schoolhouse Prep finds playoff glory versus Miami Christian

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Schoolhouse Prep Wolfpack walked away with it. They snuck past the Victors with a 54-49 victory on Friday. The win made it back-to-back wins for Schoolhouse Prep.

Schoolhouse Prep's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Adena Webster, who dropped a double-double on 28 points and 12 rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which Webster has scored at least a third of Schoolhouse Prep's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Leiyah Bain, who scored 12 points along with seven assists and six steals.

Miami Christian lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Bianca Galagarza, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Galagarza is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last ten games she's played. Maria De Gracia was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds.

Schoolhouse Prep now has a winning record of 11-10. As for Miami Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-13.

Schoolhouse Prep will take on Pine at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Pine's defense has only allowed 23.6 points per game this season, so Schoolhouse Prep's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Miami Christian, they will take on Donna Klein Jewish Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Donna Klein Jewish Academy will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Miami Christian surely won't give up without a fight.
