Brusly has gone 8-2 against St. Michael recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. Brusly can't be too worried about heading out to take on St. Michael: they just beat Port Allen at home, who had been dominant on their own field up to that point. Brusly put the hurt on Port Allen with a sharp 10-0 win on Wednesday. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won 15 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, St. Michael didn't have quite enough to beat French Settlement on Saturday and fell 9-8.

Brusly's victory bumped their record up to 23-3-1. As for St. Michael, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-12.

Brusly skirted past St. Michael 6-5 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Brusly since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
