Soccer Game Preview: Bosco Tech vs. St. Monica

The Bosco Tech Tigers will head out to take on the St. Monica Mariners at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Bosco Tech will bounce into Wednesday's match after beating Mary Star of the Sea, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. Bosco Tech skirted past Mary Star of the Sea 2-1. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Tigers as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, after low-scoring totals in their previous three contests, St. Monica brought some dynamite into their most recent contest. They never let Serra onto the board and left with a 6-0 victory on Monday. Considering the Mariners' offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

They hit Serra with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Angel Perez (2), Niklas Barillas (2), Sean Walker, and Basheer Maalouf.

St. Monica's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3-2. As for Bosco Tech, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-8.

Everything went Bosco Tech's way against St. Monica when the teams last played back in January of 2024, as Bosco Tech made off with a 5-2 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Bosco Tech since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
