University gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Wednesday. They really took it to the Freedom Patriots for the full four quarters, racking up an 83-28 win. The victory continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Patriots: they've now won eight in a row.
University had a senior duo take command as Trinel Taylor shot 83% from the field on his way to 13 points along with seven rebounds and six assists and Kyle Bailey went 7-for-13 to rack up 21 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Richard Abbott, who posted nine points.
