The Nunamiut Amaguq pushed their score all the way to 58 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were the victim of a tough 84-58 defeat at the hands of Non Varsity Tournament Opponent. Nunamiut has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Several Amaguq players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Justus Mulcahy, who scored 11 points along with four steals. Another player making a difference was Kevin Gordon, who scored 12 points along with two steals.
Nunamiut's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Non Varsity Tournament Opponent, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a massive bump to their 73-218 record this season.
Nunamiut and Scammon Bay will face off at 4:30 p.m. on January 27th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Scammon Bay has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 191 points over their last three games. As for Non Varsity Tournament Opponent, they will square off against Veritas Collegiate Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
