Volleyball Recap: Waverly Takes a Loss

Waverly was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Lumen Christi Catholic Titans.

Veronica Hollingsworth paced Waverly's offense, picking up three kills. Hollingsworth got some help from Kalina Fast and her five assists. Fast also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Sophia Deubner, each putting up three.

Waverly's defeat dropped their record down to 2-25-2. As for Lumen Christi Catholic, their victory bumped their record up to 7-12-2.

Waverly has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Williamston on the 18th. As for Lumen Christi Catholic, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Notre Dame Prep on the 18th.
