Basketball Game Preview: St. Timothy's vs. St. Frances Academy Panthers

St. Timothy and the St. Frances Academy Panthers will compete for holiday cheer at 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday.

Last Friday, St. Timothy's came up short against Archbishop Spalding and fell 59-46. St. Timothy's has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, St. Frances Academy faced St. Mary's in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. St. Frances Academy walked away with a 58-49 victory over St. Mary's. The win was familiar territory for the Panthers who have now won four contests in a row.

St. Frances Academy's victory was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-1. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.8 points per game. As for St. Timothy's, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3-1.

St. Timothy's ended up a good deal behind St. Frances Academy in their previous meeting back in January, losing 48-32. Can St. Timothy's avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
