Football Recap: Trae Stevenson Leads Brooks County's Defense on Friday + How To Watch

If Turner County wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Brooks County, they should've done a better job of containing Damari Baynard. The Trojans breezed past the Titans to the tune of 28-0 on Friday thanks in part to Baynard, who rushed for 177 yards and two TDs. His longest rush was for an incredible 78 yards.

Brooks County didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Trae Stevenson, Zuri Vaughn, and Jayden Bryant picked up one apiece. Stevenson also posted 109 receiving yards, which is notable because Brooks County is 2-1 when he posts at least 100 receiving yards, but 0-3 otherwise. The Trojans got some further help from Caden Cobb: he picked up a sack, made 12 total tackles (1.5 for loss), and defended one pass.

Despite the loss, Turner County still got an impressive performance from Curtis Grant, who rushed for 95 yards, and also picked up 33 receiving yards.

Brooks County's win bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Turner County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.
