Baseball Recap: Yerington Extends Winning Streak to Seven

Yerington entered their tilt with Incline on Tuesday with six consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with seven. They blew past the Highlanders 7-1. Considering the Lions have won 15 matchups by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Brent Brinkley spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on five hits and racked up eight Ks.

On the hitting side, Nolan Landa was excellent, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Valor Angle, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Yerington's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-3. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for Incline, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season.

Yerington didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 9-4 victory against Battle Mountain on the 25th. Incline does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
