Softball Recap: Hickory Ridge's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Hickory Ridge never let their opponents score on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Mooresville Blue Devils as they made off with a 6-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Ragin' Bulls, who have now won five games by six runs or more so far this season.

Not much got past Embler Kristyn, who gave up just three hits to keep Mooresville off the board. Kristyn has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 13 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Aubree Painter, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Hickory Ridge, bringing their record up to 12-2. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Mooresville, they now have a losing record of 7-8.

Looking ahead, Hickory Ridge will square off against West Stanly at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mooresville, they will challenge Hopewell at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Blue Devils' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Titans have averaged an impressive 12 runs per game this season.
