Softball Recap: Pentwater Takes a Loss

Pentwater was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took an 11-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mesick Bulldogs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Falcons of the 5-3 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2019.

Pentwater saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lauren Davis, who went 1-for-4 with two runs and one RBI. Alazae Acevedo also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Pentwater's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Mesick, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-7 record this season.

Pentwater does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Mesick, they will square off against Bear Lake at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
