Baseball Game Preview: Freedom Patriots vs. Windermere Wolverines

The Freedom Patriots will square off against the Windermere Wolverines at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Freedom will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.

Freedom is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They came out on top against East Ridge by a score of 4-0.

Blake Echols was excellent, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-2. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Joel Santiago, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, Windermere and The First Academy (ranked 53rd and 40th in the MaxPreps national rankings respectively) squared off in a high-profile match on Tuesday. The Wolverines fell 8-5 to the Royals.

Randy Ruiz made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run and two runs. Joey Waddingham was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

Windermere's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 19-6. As for Freedom, they now have a losing record of 12-13.

Freedom might still be hurting after the 16-1 loss they got from Windermere in their previous meeting back in February. Can the Patriots avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
