Basketball Game Preview: Miller City Wildcats vs. Hicksville Aces

The Miller City Wildcats are taking a road trip to face off against the Hicksville Aces at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

It was a proper cat-fight when Miller City faced off against Paulding on Saturday. Miller City came out on top against Paulding by a score of 55-45. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 83rd, while the Panthers are ranked 513th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Hicksville, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They put the hurt on Edgerton with a sharp 50-30 victory on Friday. The Aces have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Miller City pushed their record up to 8-1 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Hicksville, their victory bumped their record up to 6-3.

Miller City strolled past Hicksville in their previous meeting back in February of 2024 by a score of 66-51. The rematch might be a little tougher for Miller City since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
