Basketball Game Preview: Terry Sanford Bulldogs vs. Westover Wolverines

Terry Sanford is 9-1 against Westover since February of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Terry Sanford Bulldogs will look to defend their home court against the Westover Wolverines at 6:00 p.m. One thing working in Terry Sanford's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last ten matchups.

On Saturday, Terry Sanford made easy work of Rolesville and carried off a 75-50 victory. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 14 games by 21 points or more this season.

Terry Sanford found their leader in sophomore Jaidiah Blake, who went 12 for 20 en route to 28 points and six steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Blake has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Breonna Roaf, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten assists.

Terry Sanford smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in 52 consecutive contests dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, Westover didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Overhills on Friday, but they still walked away with a 45-40 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wolverines.

Terry Sanford has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-3 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 42.4 points. As for Westover, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 11-9.

Everything came up roses for Terry Sanford against Westover in their previous meeting back in January, as the squad secured a 62-15 win. In that contest, Terry Sanford amassed a halftime lead of 41-10, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Tuesday.
