Volleyball Game Preview: Ocoee Knights vs. Apopka Blue Darters

Ocoee hasn't had much luck against Apopka recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Knights will square off against the Blue Darters at 6:00 p.m. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Ocoee is headed into Monday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Thursday. They lost 3-0 to Lake Buena Vista.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-19, 25-14.

Meanwhile, Apopka was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They came up short against Winter Springs, falling 3-0.

While Apopka ultimately came up short, they really made Winter Springs work, particularly in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-21, 29-27.

Apopka's defeat dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Ocoee, their loss dropped their record down to 2-13.

Ocoee suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Apopka when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Knights avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
