Basketball Recap: Lake Forest Comes Up Short

Lake Forest lost against Benet Academy back in February of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Lake Forest Scouts fell 56-48 to the Benet Academy Redwings.

Lake Forest's defeat dropped their record down to 19-9. As for Benet Academy, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 24-5.

Lake Forest and Benet Academy should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. Lake Forest will face off against Lake Zurich at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday up 129 places (38 vs. 167). Lake Forest will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak alive. Meanwhile, Benet Academy (ranked sixth) will meet Chicago Hope Academy (ranked 104th) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
