Basketball Recap: Independence Comes Up Short

Independence lost against Emerson back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Independence Knights fell 48-37 to the Emerson Mavericks. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Independence's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Emerson, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Independence will be home for the holidays to greet Memorial at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. Memorial will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Independence surely won't give up without a fight. As for Emerson, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lebanon Trail at 5:45 p.m. on Friday.
