Flanagan had to skate by with only a three-point margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 40-point drubbing they dealt Cooper City on Thursday. The Falcons took their contest with ease, bagging a 46-6 victory over the Cowboys. The result was nothing new for the Falcons, who have now won six games by 20 points or more so far this season.

Chance Humphrey had another great game (as he tends to do), throwing for 261 yards and a pair of TDs while picking up 13.1 yards per attempt, and also rushing for 37 yards and one score.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Flanagan proved: they limited Cooper City to a paltry 3.4 yards per carry. While one picked up at least five total tackles, Travis McGill stood above the rest. He picked up two sacks, forced 11 fumbles, and made five total tackles (3.0 for loss). Flanagan didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 6.2.

Flanagan's defense didn't let the opposing QB, get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for six sacks. In that department, McGill was the leader with two. He has been hot for a while, having also posted five or more total tackles the last nine times he's played. Alvin Bernard got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Flanagan has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season. As for Cooper City, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-5.
