Baseball Recap: Maret Beats Potomac School for Their Third Straight Victory

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Maret). They won by a run and slipped past the Potomac School Panthers 10-9. That's two games straight that the Frogs have won by just one run.

Isiah Williams was incredible, firing off two home runs, three runs, and four RBI while going 4-for-4. Another player making a difference was Aidan Deshpande, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with one stolen base and two RBI.

Maret always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .585. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The victory (which was Maret's third in a row) raised their record to 3-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games. As for Potomac School, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Maret will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Bloomington at 8:00 a.m. on March 26th. As for Potomac School, they will head out to square off against St. Albans at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
