Football Recap: Longwood Takes a Loss

Longwood fell victim to Richards and their airtight defense on Saturday. They took an 8-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warriors. It was the first time this season that the Panthers let down their fans at home.

Longwood's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 5-2. As for Richards, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Longwood will square off against Noble Street College Prep at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Panthers will be up against the Golden Tigers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 29.2 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Richards, they will take on Dunbar at 3:45 p.m. on Friday.
