There's no place like home for Lone Star, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. Everything went their way against the Weldon Valley Warriors on Thursday as they made off with a 3-0 win. The Longhorns not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since September 30th (when they won 3-0).
Lone Star walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the second set). The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-15, 25-23.
Jade Kuntz paced Lone Star's offense, picking up ten kills. Kuntz got some help from Grace Cochran and her 17 assists. Peytyn Kuntz controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.
Lone Star has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season. As for Weldon Valley, they dropped their record down to 6-14 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road.
Lone Star wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Hi-Plains on the 24th. As for Weldon Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Flagler on the 24th.
