Preview: Lumberton vs. Hardin-Jefferson
Lumberton is 8-0-2 against Hardin-Jefferson since March of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Lumberton Raiders will look to defend their home pitch against the Hardin-Jefferson Hawks at 7:00 p.m. Lumberton will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
Lumberton can now show off four landslide victories after their most recent match on Friday. Their defense stepped up to hand Bridge City a 9-0 shutout. Nine seems to be a good number for Lumberton as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of goals in their previous game.
Lumberton used a slightly different lineup for their bout with Bridge City. Addison Stewart made the most of the opportunity, putting up an assist. A few more games like that and she might be seeing even more time going forward.
Meanwhile, Hardin-Jefferson unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 2-0 to Vidor.
Lumberton's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-3-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 21 goals over those four contests. As for Hardin-Jefferson, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-2-2.
