With a playoff win on the line, Pioneer rose to the challenge on Friday. They walked away with a 38-27 victory over the North White Vikings. The win continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now won four in a row.

Makenna Strycker was her usual excellent self, almost dropping a double-double with 20 points and nine rebounds. That makes it ten consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Pioneer's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mia McKaig, who posted nine points and four steals.

When it comes to explaining why North White lost, don't look at Autumn Reif. Despite the final result, she earned ten points along with eight boards and three blocks. That's the most blocks Reif has posted since back in December of 2024.

The victory got Pioneer back to even at 12-12. As for North White, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-15.

Pioneer wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 53-27 loss against Tri-County on the 10th. North White does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
