1A-2 Region IV District 14 recap October 1, 2013
Runge's Aaron Charles recorded the longest rushing play in 1A-2 Region IV District 14 this season in his game against Medina last week. Charles' team topped the Bobcats as he sprinted for 75 yards on the play and finished with 89 in all.
Adding to the longest winning streak in the league this week, Falls City beat Three Rivers 49-6. The victory was the fifth in a row for the team.
Runge's dynamic duo of Jeric Esparza and Richard Ramirez proved to be unstoppable against Medina, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Esparza threw for 64 yards and Ramirez had 64 yards receiving.
Justin Twine provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Falls City beat the Bulldogs. He completed 2 passes for 50 yards and also ran for 133 yards. Twine's key target this week was Dean Gaskamp, who caught 2 passes for 50 yards.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, Steve Marbach's team's Gaskamp and Austen Camber have proven to be a lethal combination. Gaskamp has thrown for 464 yards this season, while Camber has 10 catches for 184 yards. Corey Barnes from Matt Wright's team leads the league in rushing with 557 yards.
The Yellowjackets took down Roland Silva's team 55-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Esparza ran for 41 yards in the win.
