Volleyball Recap: Avi Bellah's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Marionville over Skyline

Marionville was the 3-1 winner over Skyline when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Comets lost 3-0 to the Tigers on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Comets have suffered since September 18th.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-19, 25-14.

Marionville's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Avi Bellah, who had 14 digs. Bellah is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last six games she's played.

Marionville's defeat ended a three-match streak of away wins and brought them to 11-11-3. As for Skyline, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 13-8-2.

Marionville didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Russellville on the 11th. As for Skyline, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Stover on the 13th.
