Soccer Recap: Coahulla Creek Triumphs

Coahulla Creek kept a clean sheet against North Cobb Christian on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the North Cobb Christian Eagles 1-0. The Colts wouldn't have won without Jocelyn Saenz, who scored the game-winner.

Coahulla Creek has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 17 goals over those five games. North Cobb Christian is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Coahulla Creek will venture away from home to challenge Sonoraville at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Sonoraville knows how to get goals on the board -- the team has finished with four goals or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Coahulla Creek likes a good challenge. As for North Cobb Christian, they are taking a road trip to face off against Atlanta Classical Academy at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday.
