Basketball Recap: St. Croix Prep Comes Up Short

St. Croix Prep has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were dealt a 70-34 defeat at the hands of the Maranatha Christian Academy Mustangs on Monday. The matchup marked the Lions' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

St. Croix Prep's loss dropped their record down to 10-4. As for Maranatha Christian Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-8.

St. Croix Prep will welcome Cristo Rey Jesuit at 7:00 p.m. on January 28th. As for Maranatha Christian Academy, they will head out to face off against St. Agnes at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. St. Agnes knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Maranatha Christian Academy likes a good challenge.
