Baseball Recap: Cecilia Takes a Loss

Cecilia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost an 8-6 heartbreaker at the hands of the Sacred Heart Trojans.

Cecilia now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Sacred Heart, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-6 record this season.

Cecilia will be playing at home against Acadiana Renaissance Charter Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles' pitching crew has only allowed 2.7 runs per game this season, so the Bulldogs' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Sacred Heart, they will challenge Beau Chene at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Gators have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.08 runs per game on average), something the Trojans will no doubt try to take advantage of.
