Soccer Recap: Plainfield Comes Up Short

Plainfield lost against Westfield back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Quakers fell just short of the Shamrocks by a score of 2-1. Logan Scott was hit with a yellow card, which may have had some impact on his (and the team's) ability to make aggressive plays.

Plainfield's goal came courtesy of Alacene Kagirabana, which was the first he's scored this season.

Plainfield's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-6-3. As for Westfield, their victory bumped their record up to 6-8-1.

Plainfield didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Decatur Central on the 30th. As for Westfield, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Avon on the 30th.
