Softball Recap: Wheeling Central Catholic Comes Up Short

If Wheeling Central Catholic was riding high fresh off their 15-2 takedown of Toronto on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Wheeling Central Catholic fell just short of the Parkersburg South Patriots by a score of 1-0 on Saturday. The Maroon Knights haven't had much luck with the Patriots recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Wheeling Central Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Parkersburg South, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 7-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wheeling Central Catholic will square off against Oak Glen at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Parkersburg South, they will face off against Male at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday.
