Baldwin is 1-7 against Trinity Christian Academy since March of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Indians will face off against the Conquerors at 7:00 p.m. The last five games Baldwin has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
Baldwin will bounce into Tuesday's contest after beating Sandalwood, who they had gone 0-5 against in their five prior meetings. The Indians beat the Mighty Saints on Thursday by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 4-3.

Chase Staley was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out eight batters over 5.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one run and one double. Those four hits gave him a new career-high.
In other pitching news, Zain Gillespie looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.
Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Turner Farah, who went 1-for-4 with one home run. He is becoming a predictor of Baldwin's success: when he posts at least one home run the team is undefeated (and 9-10 when he doesn't). Cayden Smith also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Trinity Christian Academy). They never let Clay get on the board and left with a 14-0 win on Friday. The Conquerors have beaten the Blue Devils the last six times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Blue Devils has come to flipping the script.
Jordan Martinez was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, six RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Aiden Arnett, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two RBI and one run.
Trinity Christian Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .615. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Baldwin's record now sits at 13-10. As for Trinity Christian Academy, their record is now 17-6.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Baldwin has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.9 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Trinity Christian Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 10.2 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Baldwin might still be hurting after the 10-0 loss they got from Trinity Christian Academy when the teams last played back in March of 2025. Can the Indians avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
