Basketball Recap: Western Comes Up Short

Western easily dispatched Michigan Center last Wednesday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Western Panthers fell just short of the Chelsea Bulldogs by a score of 46-44 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Panthers have suffered since January 17th.

Western's loss dropped their record down to 11-13. As for Chelsea, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season.

Western does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Chelsea, they will face off against Goodrich at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Goodrich's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last ten contests.
