It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Timpanogos had no problem doing just that on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-4 win over the Mountain View Bruins. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Timberwolves have posted since March 13th.

Shaylie Lang made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out eight batters over eight innings while giving up four earned runs off nine hits. Lang was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one home run and one double.

In other batting news, Timpanogos let Kaleah Sao and Aspen Moody run wild. Sao went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI, while Moody went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Kale'a Nakayama, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

The win made it two in a row for Timpanogos and bumps their season record up to 15-9. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Mountain View, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 14-12.

Timpanogos will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Bruins: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
