Recap: Rouse Raiders vs. Canyon Cougars
The Rouse Raiders waltzed into Friday's matchup with two straight wins but they left with three. They were the clear victor by a 68-45 margin over Canyon. With Rouse ahead 38-6 at the half, the match was all but over already.
Rouse's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Devin Brown led the charge by scoring 15 points along with 3 steals. The match was Brown's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jojo Moore, who scored 11 points along with 7 assists and 6 rebounds.
Rouse has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. As for Canyon, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-12 record this season.
Rouse's road trip will continue as they head out to face Clemens at 6:00 p.m. on December 8th. Clemens will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive. Canyon will take on Steele at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Steele presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Canyon in Texas (Steele is ranked 36th, while Canyon is ranked 1198th).
