Softball Recap: Loudoun Valley Comes Up Short

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Loudoun Valley's offense. They came up short against the Loudoun County Captains on Tuesday, falling 6-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Vikings have suffered since May 24, 2024.

Loudoun Valley saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maia Valenti, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Loudoun Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Loudoun County, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-4.

Looking ahead, Loudoun Valley will challenge Boonsboro at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Loudoun County, they will face off against Freedom at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Eagles have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.13 runs per game on average), something the Captains will no doubt try to take advantage of.
