Basketball Recap: Newcomb Takes a Loss

Newcomb was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 118-28 loss at the hands of the Navajo Prep Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 72-39 back in January.

Newcomb's loss dropped their record down to 6-20. As for Navajo Prep, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-6 record this season.

Newcomb will face off against Zuni at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. We've got a battle between Eagles coming up.
